Welcome to SENDsenses
Our mission is to support the mental health and wellbeing for people of all ages and abilities in Bristol and the surrounding areas through our immersive sessions. We centre our sessions around connecting back into our bodies through the nature around us, as well as using our senses (especially through the soles of our feet). We believe that this strengthens our body and mind, creating more resilience, self-esteem, better wellbeing, social interaction, motor skills and lots more! We strive to provide a safe, nurturing and fun environment for people to explore and learn how to use their bodies as a tool to self-regulate, reducing stress and anxieties. Offering 1:1 and group sessions.
We run specialised group sessions for children with special education needs and disabilities as well as social and emotional mental health, providing multi-sensory experiences connecting with their bodies, through specialised yoga and breath work, getting creative with crafts whilst being immersed within the nature around us.
We offer 1:1 sessions for children of a disadvantage, so they can learn how to regulate their emotions using their body and the nature around them. Allowing each child to feel safe and supported, providing a space where they can be themselves and hopefully find moments of calm.
We hold adult meditation classes, as adults needs time for themselves too! We want to help connect our body, mind and spirit, taking time out of our busy lives to create some calm and a place of relaxation. We use singing/sound bowls to help get into a deeper state of relaxation, as well as practicing some gentle yoga.
